I need help downloading Image Mastering API v2.0 (IMAPIv2.0) for Windows XP (KB932716)

    Question

  • Today, 9/1/2012, from this site: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17073  i downloaded a Windows Genuine Advantage validation tool.  I got this message after I ran it: "Ok, I followed Carey's instructions and it said my copy was genuine but I still can't download the software I need. Please someone help. Microsoft should have chat agents to help with all this stuff. Very frustrating indeed.

  • What operating system and Browser are you using for the download?? - you MUST use Internet Explorer.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
     Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
      - **in your own thread**, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

  • Apart from teh fact that your installation of Office is counterfeit, there doesn't sem to be anything wrong with activation and validation of Windows.

The ActiveX settings apear to be correct, and all the WGA entries appear current.

You shouldn't have a problem with using IE for the validation.
