The volume does not contain a recognized file system

    Question

  • hi, am getting an error message : "The volume does not contain a recognized file system.Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted" while tryin to open my D drive..  can anyone help me wit this??

  • This forum is for handling questions and problems for/with Windows Home Server. For Vista you should ask in the Vista Forums.
    You can try to open a command prompt as Administrator and run the command
    chkdsk d: /r /x
