Downloading MS-DOS QBasic

    Question

  • I found a program written in a book, dated from the late 1980s, that is in Basic. I then found a copy of MS-DOS QBasic that would have been installed on computers of this era, but I was wondering if it is legal to download it.  It can be found at C-NET download.com:

  • I had the same kind of query this morning - if you go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/135315 and download 'olddos' you can get it from the horse's mouth.  When you run 'olddos', it's best to do this from a commandline window - you can get one of these by doing Start/run and typing in 'command'.  Then, when the window comes up, type 'olddos'.
