  • From your MGA report:

    Windows Product ID Type: 2
    Windows License Type: OEM SLP
    Windows OS version: 6.1.7600.2.00010100.0.0.001

Unfortunately, your computer has an installation of Windows 7 with a known pirated product key.  Please see:

Microsoft May Block and Blacklist 22TKD OEM-SLP Product Key for Windows 7 Crack

If you were charged for this bogus installation of Windows 7, you have a legal right to return the computer and demand an immediate 100% refund.

Otherwise, demand from the seller a genuine Microsoft retail packaged "full version" edition of Windows 7 which will require a "clean install".

[EDIT From Darin MS] I now see what Carey is getting at about this key being Blacklisted.   I apologize for orginally deleting his post, I misunderstood.

  • Having an OEM SLP is not, in itself, a bad thing.

All OEM SLP key are "blacklisted" because, by design, they can not be used to Active by Phone or over the internet. This is because OEM SLP keys can only Activate when they see an OEM Bios Flag in the motherboard of the computer and the only time a Motherboard would have a Bios Flag is if it was in a computer that was sold by a Large Manufacturer with Windows pre-installed.

The OEM SLP key will see the Bios Flag and self-activate.

OEM SLP key (and OEM Bios Flags) Only come in windows that come pre-installed from a large computer manufacturer.

All computers that come pre-installed with a OEM SLP keyed Windows also come with a COA Sticker the sticker has a different product key called a COA SLP key.  The purpose of this key is as a Backup to the OEM SLP key.  Sometimes the interaction between OEM Bios Hack and the OEM SLP key is interupted and Windows will not self-activate.  In this case, the user needs to change product keys to the COA SLP key and then Activate by Phone.

Please Note: There are Hacks avaliable on the internet (and also sometime sold included in a computer or as a standalone DVD) called OEM Bios Hacks.  These hacks make Windows Think there is a OEM Bios Flag in the computer's motherboard when there isn't one.  This type of hack combined with an OEM SLP key will make Windows self-activate thereby avoiding the need to Activate using a Valid Product key.  Microsoft recently released an Update that makes Windows 7 ignore around 70+ Activation Hacks (including some OEM Bios Hacks)

NinjaKucing: Regarding your specific issue. Your Diagnostic Report is showing that your Windows 7 is using the Product Key from a  leaked Lenovo Windows 7 OEM preactivated DVD image that was never shipped with any computers.

If your computer came pre-installed with this key, contact the person or company that sold you this computer.  Give them a copy of the above Diagnostic Report (with the Product Key highlighted and then give them a copy of the link that Carey provided (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/08/01/microsoft-may-block-and-blacklist-22tkd-oem-slp-product-key-for-windows-7-crack/)

They should note that the product key used in your Windows and the Product key listed on that site are the same and that key should never been included in a computer.  You should then demand a full refund.  I also encourage you to submit a Piracy Report at http://microsoft.com/piracy

    Thank you,
    Darin MS
