  • Hello d2next,

Both the Windows and Office installations on your HP/Compaq computer are nongenuine pirated volume licensing installations.

Please look on the computer for a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA).  If there is a CoA, please tell us what version and edition of Windows is listed on the CoA, and if there is a manufacturer's name or "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" printed on the CoA.  Do not post the product key printed on the CoA.

  • You have volume licensed versions of Windows XP Pro and also Office XP Pro.

The XP product key is from a widely pirated Torrent downloaded version of what used to be a valid product key.  Because of either theft, misuse or other reasons (none good) the product key has been blocked.

Both of these products are sold only to businesses in quantity and should you be an employee of one of those businesses then you need to contact your IT department for resolution.  If these were private purchases you have been taken.  If you downloaded these from the internet you need to remove them as they are illegal.  If you took this into a repair shop and they installed these products they need to be contacted for resolution.
