    Question

  • Hey guys,

We are working with CRM 2011 on premise,

we are facing a problem with the System Settings.

any time we want to change something under the system settings tab, the "OK" Button does not work, as if it is not responding. once we hit "Cancel" we get the following error:

  • Hello,

we are experiencing the same issue.

It seems to be working on organizations which where created befre RU14. Uninstalling RU14 did not solve the problem. I tried to set the system settings on IE 10 & FF 23.0.1.

We are running CRM2011 on a Win Server 2008R2 Standard SP1 and the database is located on a SQL Server 2012 SP1 (WinSrv 2008R2 Standard SP1).  We have RU6, RU13 and RU14 installed. All Organizations show Version 5.0.9690.3557

The error report i get after clicking "Cancel":

Which i find surprising is that the version number in the trace shows: 5.0.9901.0003

CRM Async Service Server Trace looks similar:

We are still in developing stage but I don't want to move on as long as i can not change the system settings on new organizations.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated since we want to go live as soon as possible.
    Kind Regards

  • I am having the same issue.  I noticed that the following columns are missing on the OrganizationBase table:

    AllowUserFormModePreference
    YammerGroupId
    IsDefaultCountryCodeCheckEnabled
    MetadataSyncLastTimeOfNeverExpiredDeletedObjects
    QuickFindRecordLimitEnabled
    YammerOAuthAccessTokenExpired
    UseSkypeProtocol
    DefaultCountryCode
    MetadataSyncTimestamp
    YammerNetworkPermalink
    YammerPostMethod
    UseReadForm
    EnableBingMapsIntegration

I tried adding them to the table and updating the Organization view, doing an IIS reset but still getting the error.  There must be something else missing but I'm pretty sure that the fact that these columns were missing has something to do with it.

  • Steve, I think you are very close.  I would recommend making a brand new blank CRM instance on UR14, then copy the new columns and their values into the old db's, and see if that does it.

  • *Same* issue here - what's going on with this issue? We cannot even turn auditing on for a client. This is not an issue with Cloud versions, only On-Prem.

Client site is a fresh On-Prem install of UR14 on Win Serv 2013. It seems pretty common by the above responses; is this a known/reported issue with MS?

  • I'm having the same issue as well.  I've been in contact with Microsoft but they haven't given me a solution yet.  Has anyone figured out exactly what the issue is.  I'm missing the same entries from the table mentioned above and I can't figure out what's going on either.

  • The same issue is discussed in another thread at the MSDN forums. Someone posted a workaround which we used at the moment in order to change the system settings. Please look at: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/48cfaf40-7d32-448c-b39a-f5528b516c54/error-on-system-settings-dialog?prof=required

    Hi Arpita,

Do you know if this issue has indeed been fixed in the new rollup 15?

  • Confirmed, I had the exact same issue with rollup 14, just updated to rollup 15 and everything works fine now.

According to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2843571, they changed this:

    • Applying Update Rollup 14 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 causes several database updates to not be applied if the system had Update Rollup 13 applied previously.
