We have installed an enterprise pool with 2 front-end servers for a client. From time to time, we expirience address book syncronisation issues in Communicator 2007. When I investigate, I see following behaviour on one front-end server:
When is browse to https://FrontEndFQDN/Abs/Int/Handler/%FileName%.dabs. I get an blank page and the Address Book file download window doesn't pop-up. When I brose to https://FrontEndFQDN/Abs/Ext/Handler/%FileName%.dabs. I can download the Address Book.
Restarting IIS seems to work, but several days later, we experienced it on the other Front-End Server and it seems to come back unpredictable on both servers.
Several weeks ago, the service account passwords have changed and we changed the passwords on all nescessary locations in IIS (Application pool and 3 virtual Directory's) and we preformed a LSCCMD /Activate command to update OCS with the new passwords for RTCComponentService account pw and Guest account pw. But I don't think it's related to the password change as it has worked for 2 weeks without a problem. I also checked the passwords in IIS metabase for the virtual directorys and these are still correctly configured. It's also not the RTCComponentService account that is defined on the application pool as this would result in a Service Unavaillable error.
