Share address list between Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 in different forest

    Question

  • Hi All,

I would like to know that is it possible to share address list between Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 in different forest?
When the user use the outlook client, is it available to view the different forest address book in contact list.
If I use cross trust to trust two different forest, is it available to share the address book?

    Thanks,
    KH Choi

  • What you will need is a Meta Directory tool that replicates Directory information
You need to replicate user/mailbox information from other forest into contact information in the local forest
Identity Life Cycle manager (ILM) will do that for you (used to be MIIS)
ILM is compatible with Exchange 2007

For free busy you will need to use Inter Organizational Replication tool that replicates the Free/Busy public folder
