- Well to get the MCTS certification for Windows Forms 2.0 you need to do 2 exams. One is 70-536 and the other is as you already know 70-526
You should enough experience to pass this exam with a small bit of study. There is a training kit from MS Press which you can use and there are plenty of resources in the MSDN as well for this.
Its handy to have a cert like this and you can always upgrade it to the 3.5 cert as well because not so much changed between 2.0 and 3.5 in windows forms.
Suppose it will add value especially if others dont have it and they are of similar experience

as you have worked .net 2.0 and sql server 2005 . I think it is easy for you to pass 70-526 and 70-536 .
Of course ,if you can pass both ,it is sure they will add value to your profile .
My suggestion is that if you have gotton Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Applications ,you can consider about upgrading your mcts to mcpd
Of course ,it is my opinion.
hope it useful for u.

you can take any order of the exams.

Please allow to intervene ...
Although the order might not play a role, the better order is ALWAYS:
70-536 and then 70-526/70-528
70-536 means "Foundations". You will always find parts of the foundations in the following certs. You will create black boxes if you start in a different order.
