How much time would you allow between training for the 70-667 TS: Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Configuring and taking the exam?
In otherwards, would you take the traditional path of Train and then Exam right afterward? OR if given the opportunity, would you Train, Self-study and then Exam?

Check the "Skills Measured" tab in the exam description page:
If your training covered all of the items in this list, then you can take the exam right away. But most of the training courses that I have seen do not match exactly the list of skills required by the exam. If this is your case then you should set aside some time to self-study those topics from other sources, shuch as Msdn or Technet. If your training covered most of the Skills Measured, then a short time for reviewing (such as two or three days) should be enough before the exam.

Majority of our students who take our 5-Day Official MCTS: Configuring Office SharePoint Server 2010 Boot Camp take their exams on last day of class. Also a free re-take of our course is available for students who fail the first time.
