What are PreRequisites for 70-515?

  Unlike the certs for .NET 2.0 and 3.5 there are no prereqs for the MCTS on .NET 4

  So to answer your question, there are none. Please see Gerrys blog post on it

  Thanks Niall! That will save some money :).

  I think it is a very wise decision because if someone thinks he is good enough to take 70-515 it is understood that he has a strong foundation of dot net. It should not be necessary to go back to school once you are in a university.

  Hi

  Well I would probably not agree with you on this. With 70-515 it doesnt go into some of the System namespace but with good enough reason that they are not used too much by web devs. Still I would like the web devs to be aware of them :)

  Hi Niall,

   

  I am beginner in .net programming. I have professorial work experience in ASP.NET 2.0 for almost 2 years. I had to take a break from my job and now again I am planning to continue my career in .net.

   

  So I decided to do my MCTS in ASP.NET 3.5

   

  Currently I am preparing for the 70-536 exam.

   

  I have started to think whether I should get certified in the recent technology ie ASP.NET 4.0.

   

  Would you suggest me go straight for the ASP.NET 4.0 or would you recommend me to finish 70-536, 70-562 for ASP.NET 3.5 (keeping in mind that I am a beginner) ?

   

  Please advice.

  Hi Priya,

  you should go for ASP.NET 4.0 70-515 certification ,

  It will benefit you more . Rest is up to you which one you are looking for.

  I am also looking to go for it, though i have not any other certification yet. but i am working in .net technology since last 2.5 years , and now market is moving to asp.net 4.0 slowly & gratually so it is beneficial for us to get asp.net 4.0 certification.

  Learning asp.net 3.5 anyway is required , so you can learn it as well , but in case certification i would suggest you to get asp.net 4.0.

  Awesome. I am interesting in 70-515. I am not sure how to organize them and how they match each other. Maybe you could create a new list such as the following.
