Saturday, June 09, 2012 2:28 AMI am installing Win2k8 on a system with 6 hard disks. They are 1Tb in size each. I want to create Raid 5 with 1 hot spare. How much disk space will the raid contain and how much space will Win2k8 see if formatted using NTFS?
Explain if any disk space will be lost and why?

The one hot spare will be "lost" (until needed due to a failure), so you are left with 5 disks "in use". A RAID-5 configuration wil provide you with 4 TB of useful space, while the remaining 1TB is used for redundancy.
Anyway, even though this question is probably related to some certification exam that you are preparing, you should ask this type of question in the corresponding thechnical forum, not in the "training and certification" forum.
