I'm getting ready to buy my training materials for the 70-291 exam. I was wondering if any one had any advice on some good text books.  I normally buy the MicrosoftPress book,  thinking they are the best.  Thanks for help!

I too enjoy Microsoft Press books. You might want to look into http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft%C2%AE-Windows-Server-2003-Inside/dp/0735620482/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217034443&sr=1-1

It has proven invaluable for me.

    Hi Michael
Thanks for tip,   I just ordered the book on Amazon.

I'm currently A+ Network +, MCDST  certfied and working last two exams 70-290 and 70-291 for MCSA.  I'm currently working  as a  Desktop Support Technician, that does  Jr administrator task.  I have interviewed for a few level two Desktop Support jobs in the past month, but they all seem to want programming skills. What would be a  good starting point for me to enter the programming world? I was thinking  of Access to learn termology and basic programming skills. What you think? Thanks Tom

I also like the 70-291 specific book form MS-Press...
    http://www.amazon.com/MCSA-MCSE-Self-Paced-Training-70-291/dp/0735622884/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217244373&sr=1-1

As for Microsoft Access; Don't laugh but I really like the built-in help function, because all the functions are there among other things, so I really recommend you check that out. But here are a couple of books to help you.

    A good beginner book.
    http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Access-Programming-Absolute-Beginner/dp/1598633937/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217244548&sr=1-2

    Developer Reference.

Now these next two aren't really programming books, but a good place to start if you are completely form the beginning.

    Access 2003 Step-by-Step

    Access 2007 Step-by-Step
