I am just a beginner in sharepoint. I know very little about it and i am not aware of its previous versions. But, my job requires me to do the certification. I have a microsoft certification in ASP.NET. If i get started now how comfortably can i complete certification with good knowledge of sharepoint 2010? Please refer any good study material for this. Thank you :)

For the most up-to-date information about SharePoint Learning Resources, visit the Microsoft Learning Training Portal for certification exams, instructor-led training, e-learning, and books.
Moreover, you need to go to Learn SharePoint Development you will find Getting Started Training, Advanced Developer Training, Developer Training Kit, SharePoint 2010 Learning Plans and SharePoint Videos.

I am in your situation a couple months ago.The learning material I use are:
Microsoft SharePoint 2010: Building Solutions for SharePoint 2010 by Sahil Malik
2. Training videos
Since I have one year subscription with learn dev , I watch all the videos there. It is relative cheap , only cost $99 for a year subscription and you got the whole library not only the sharepoint stuff .The videos are from Appdev . Appdev training is of high quality.
You can also watch free training videos from Microsoft SharePoint site. They are pretty good too.But bare in mind , by just watching these videos you will not learn much , you need to build a SharePiont 2010 machine and play with it .Try to write the sample code yourself and not just copy and paste.
3. Write blogs about your learning. This will motive you in your long journy with SharePoint Learning.
You could check out my blog :http://ybbest.wordpress.com
4. Do check out the patterns & practices SharePoint Guidance on coldeplex.
5.Thanks for Becky Bertram, who kindly put up all the exam requirements with links to MSDN
