Hello all,

I've just purchased my first collection of e-learning courses (the .NET programming foundation package) and have so far found it a very frustrating experience. Whenever I attempt to start the course by clicking the Begin Course button I get a black window with the error 'Unable to locate the host LMS Scorm API Adapter' in a messagebox.
I've downloaded the offline viewer...twice...but can't seem to start a download of any of my content. When I try to download I get a pop up telling me to wait while the download initiates. Eventually that window closes and suddenly nothing continues to happen.

I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate, IE 7.

Hello all!

I subscribed to the 10-day free trial of the E-Reference Complete Library. The contents of the books is complete, every other paragraph being replaced by lines of "x". Is it normal? Does the real subscription look the same?

The Labs for Courses 4326 & 4327 do not work, that is, they are not loading at all in order to be accessed. Please advise as to what action I should take to resolve the problem. Many thanks.

Lab 6 in 70-646 course -- not working

Hi,

The lab 6 in 70-646 course doesn't start for me:
- the windows appears
- the "wait ..." and the moving <whatever you want to call it> appears
- then after ~1min (give or take) tthe window becomes blank (a smaller windows flashes within but closes too fast to read)

Please advise.

I am following the steps in

I was informed i do not have to logon into the server called LON-DC1.
logged on to the XP simulated computer and cannot reached either www.microsoft.cam or www.fourth.com - I had disabled my Symantec firewall still had the same results.
are we to actually get these witesite?

Problems with Flash Player

I've some serious issues with the eLearning-Platform:

every time i try to take a course i have been showed a page that the flashplayer is need to be installed.

The only way to get the course is to uninstall adobe flash completely (with the adobe scripts) and to install adobe flash by the given site again. then i can take a course…. if i close the browser again and open it to take another or to resume a intercepted course the "flash-player-needed"-site is shown again.

what do i have to do, to not have to install the adobe plugin over and over again????

eLearning margins within window are too large

I can't view all the text within the eLearning window in order to complete the self-tests. The right and bottom margins are too large and overtake the area that I am supposed to be able to view. Hello,

I need some help with my IT Academy training. Occassionally after a lengthy module including labs etc. , my progress will not log. This is very fustrating because im on a time by time basis where it is crucial that the time I spent on each section be recorded. It works more often than it fails, but when it does fail it is very aggravating. This is especially true when I have spent 3 hours or more on a module because I will have to spend another 3 just waiting out the times again (not to mention that Ive already learned the information).

Any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated!

I can't access my course AT ALL!!!! Help! am under pressure at work to start course (I work for the NHS) - when pressing 'resume course' or any other course buttons Adobe keeps flashing up and can't get access to the course - I have downloaded the Flashplayer SO MANY TIMES - am at the end of my tether - I use firefox and Explorer and both do the same thing - of course I have allowed Adobe to download the flashplayer - can you please help me to fix this ASAP!!

The virtuelle machine NYC-SVR1 has no network-connection (the network-cable is unplugged). The exercises in the laboratory could not be completes and the and the performance of the virtuell machines in the lab is poorly.

Hi there,

Still got a problem with downloading course on 4.0.0.4 version.

I can successfully download course on Windows XP, but download failing on Vista x64, UAC enabled, interface is English and System locale is Russian.

The error message is: "Error requesting file 'http://offline.microsoftlearning.com/plo_content/ORG6024/COURSE91621/platform/localization/ko.xml'. HTTP/1.1 404 Object Not Found returned from remote server."

I am pretty sure nothing Korean presented on my notebook, so I am confused why OLP tries to download it.

In section "Editing a Document" the Self Test states that "You can not edit a document with the Find and Replace dialog box open" as being correct. This is of coures incorrect. You can indeed edit a document with the Find and Rplace dialog box open.

Lab Computers incorrectly configured in Course 3387 - Deploying Operations Manager 2007

In the second lab, configuring a Gateway server, the entire lab is essentially broken. This is due to the pre-loaded certificates on the OPSMGR & GATEWAY servers haveing expired in May 2009. With the certificates expired they do not load into the software, and without the certificates, the lab is pretty pointless.

I have tried to launch the elearning Lab. After clicking on Launch button I get a black screen letting me know that it might take up to 3 minutes for the lab to load, however after a minute the loading fails and I get an error that an unknown error has occured ....
I am using Windows 7, IE8

In course 2924, I started the VB lab under the Visusal Studio 2005 Product module. The lab started OK enough. In the lab, I completed exercise 1 and moved on. Under exercise 2 task 1, Detailed step j states...
j. In the Open Project dialog box, browse through 2364\Unit01\VB\Supplier, and then double-click Supplier.sln.
The open project dialog contains no items (files or folders). So basically, I cannot use this lab at all because everything depends on being able to open the current solution. What do I do?

Taking two courses- can't access labs for first class

I'm taking both MOAC 70-620 and MOAC 70-642 concurrently. I started working on lab 2 for 70-642, but now when I try to access labs for 70-620 I'm redirected to Labs for 70-642. I've tried clearing out my Temp. Internet Files, Rebooting, and even logging on from multiple machines. As it stands, I can no longer access labs for 70-620. Can someone help me?

IT Academy Exchange course not tracking progress

Hello,

I am taking the Exchange 2007 course at a local JC, and we're using the IT Academy virtual labs.

My Vista 32-Bit Business Edition system w/SP2 can login to IT Academy just fine, and I can complete labs, view video's, etc. without any problems... But, my progress within IT Academy's main page never updates.   For example, I have completed the first course, and started on a second, but it showed 0 of 35 sections completed for the 2nd course.

Again, all on-line content works fine, and including the Active-X compoents, which install w/o issues.

I have a locked down firewall at my network edge, but it permits HTTP and HTTPS traffic out, which I would assume is all that is required.   What are the minimum protocols required to permit out my firewall for the courseware to function and update properly?

Any thoughts/assistance on getting this fixed would be appreciated...

PS> FYI, this system is my personal system. At the Junior College, it updates just fine from their systems, but there isn't sufficient time to complete all of the labs there.

E-learning courses disappear from Offline player

I had roughly 10 free and voucher courses in my offline player. These courses had a expiration date of March 2010 and I synchronised at least every week. I decided to add course 4623 to my list, after it finished downloading it appeared as the only course on my list. Has this download erased all my previous courses and if so why?
I logged back into e-learning and have begun re-adding the previous courses, however, I noticed the expiration dates have now all changed to late 2009. Having spent my time, effort and bandwidth creating my offline list of courses I find it incredibly frustrating that this has happened. Can I expect this to happen again and if so what is the point of using the offline player if it's this unreliable?

A Microsoft response would be appreciated. Thanks.

Some of the courses are now appearing as 2010 expiration date. Seems I'll just have re-add them all and see.

Problem with Lab 6 in MOAC 70-646 virtual lab

The disk layout and sizes in the instructions don't match the actual virtual machine's configuration, and it ends up changing answers to several key questions:

On question 6, you will actually notice NO difference in the volume you just created. If you were to create yet another volume on that disk, you would see that it would become a logical drive in an extended partition instead of a primary one, because of the maximum number of primary partitions allowed per disk.

On question 18, you were supposed to be able to extend your volume onto Disk 0 once it was converted to a dynamic disk, but since it has NO physical space remaining, you will not see it in your list of available disks.

I'm just reporting this issue, and don't need any follow-up. I found no other link, web form, or e-mail address for reporting issues with the Virtual Labs.

Problem taking course at Microsoft IT Academy with Vista

I'm running Vista Home Premium SP1. I get into "Course 4105: Core Training for Microsoft Office Word 2003". I hit the Begin button and get the following:

Micrsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher is required. I loaded the current 3.0 with no change. I found 6.0 and loaded that with no change. I then saw there was a link on the page to test system capabilities and it wasn't finding either XML 3.0, 6.0 or Windows Media Player 11 (which I do have on my computer). Has anyone reported a problem running Microsoft IT Academy with Vista?

My computer is a Dell Dimension DXP061 32 bit OS

I am trying to take the Hyper-V courses. When I go to the "My Learning" page, I have the following courses listed. Some of the links work and some give the following error
"Error Processing the URL
Error Processing the URL due to an invalid parameter. "

I have sent an email to e-learn@microsoft.com but it says that it may take up to 2 business days to get a reply. Is there a way to get this resolved sooner?
