AnswerLive Desktop Document Edit Not Saved

When I open a Word document residing on Live Desktop, make changes and save, the changes don't stick; when I reopen the file, no changes made.

Am I correct in asuming that this is the way it is until further notice?

[I tried searching the forum on this issue, but could not find a clear answer.]

You don't save a document "live" to the Live Desktop in Live Mesh. You are opening the document by downloading a local copy. Once you edit it, you need to save it locally and then upload it back to the Live Desktop. If the Live Mesh client is installed, and your edit the file on the local PC in a Mesh folder, upon save it is synchronized to the Live Desktop and other devices automatically in the background.
