LIVE MESH BUG: No network connection detected with full 3G coverage !!
- Dear Microsoft Live Mesh Team,
First I do think that Microsoft Live Mesh is one of the best services I have ever used, because it's simple to backup, sync and share important documents on different platforms. It makes me more productive on the go. I have been using the service for some time now, however without changing any settings on my Samsung BlackJack II I get the error message:
"Sign-in failed, No network connection was detected. Check your connection and try again."
This doesn't make sence, because I have full 3G coverage. Furthermore I've ruled out the option of being device specific and tested with an HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Windows Mobile Professional) AND with the Samsung BlackJack II (Windows Mobile Standard).
While asking a question on Twitter: http://twitter.com/remoknops/status/1629687199
The problem was confirmed by Windows Mobile MVP ClintonFitch: http://twitter.com/clintonfitch/status/1629721238
I hope that this information is of help for the Microsoft Live Mesh Team, in order to further improve this excellent service !
With kind regards,
Remo Knops

- Has there been any movement on this? Is there a bug report?
I am having the same issues. Same phone. Has there been any movement on this? Is there a bug report?

I suggest that you file your own bug report since the original poster hasn't returned with a link for us.

It was. I uninstalled and reinstalled and was able to connect. Ok, it had been a while since I used Mesh on my phone so I figured an uninstall/reinstall might be useful.

That's excellent news. :-) Enjoy trying out the Live Mesh mobile client.
