- Unfortunately, the best that I can do is advise you to submit your logs with a bug report. I see that you saw the other thread. It is possible that there is a conflicting program running on that device or some service dependency that is broken.

- Ok I had submit a bug report:

MD- The Live Mesh mobile client lists the folders, but when you click on the folder in the list, it should open File Explorer for a folder that exists on the device and is synchronized to your Mesh or your default browser if the folder in on the Live Desktop, but not synchronized with your device.

I have this problem, too.

Are you working on it? Please: It would be a nice application..!- Since Live Mesh is still a beta, it would be a likely assumption that the developers are working on it as several people have reported this as a bug. Unfrotunately, I can't tell you for sure and I don't know when it may be resolved.

- I have a Touch HD with Windows Mobile 6.5 running and I have the problem also seen on various other devices where the client opens for the "Starting Live Mesh" splash screen and then exits.
I have submitted a bug with a log to https://connect.microsoft.com/LiveMesh/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=481053.
I was just wondering if anyone has any news / suggestions on the problem and workarounds?

- Thanks for submitting the bug, Richard. I've merged your post to the thread where the issue has been reported by others with the HTC Touch devices.

Microsoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator - Hi everybody
Any updates on the Live Mesh client for Windows Mobile devices? I would like to use it on my HTC Touch Diamond2, but it immediately crashes without any error message, after starting Live Mesh.
The error was already described here at the Connect portal: http://connect.microsoft.com/LiveMesh/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=434094
But unfortunately, it seems, that nothing has been done on this issue. Anyone else having the same problems? Or even a fix to solve it?
Thanks for any comment.
Rene
Edit: Sorry, wrong forum. Could any forum administrator please move this thread to the Live Mesh Mobile forums?- Merged byStephen BootsMVP, ModeratorTuesday, August 11, 2009 1:05 PMsame issue
- I'm actually going to merge your psot with the thread over in the mobile forum for this issue. There are lots of people reporting this and, unfortunately, I have no update regarding progress on resolving it. The thread I'm merging your post to contains a few responses from people who found conflicting apps that, when disabled, allowed Live Mesh to work on the device.

Microsoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator - I got the same kind of problem on my HTC Touch Pro 2 as well as my Diamond.
Hope it will be fixed soon:) - I don't know that this is actually ananswer, but I have a work around that has been doing well all day... If I start PIE and minimize it, I can then start Live Mesh and it logs in/syncs just fine. Once it is logged in and started looking for changes, PIE can be closed.

That's an interesting workaround. If it works, great. :-)

Microsoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator- As I said... It has been working al day... It always looked to me like it was trying to log on so I figured that if I logged onto Live Mesh through PIE that it would have a "logon"... It didn't actualy need the logon... Just PIE... It has worked a dozen or more times on mine, so... :)
- I tried starting IE and then Live Mesh, no luck.I have Iris and Opera browsers installed. Could that be a problem?
- It should not be. As noted in this thread, the current version apparently doesn't work well or at all on the Touch Pro hardware/image.

Microsoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator - Allright, then we've just have to be patient...
- it was just something I noticed and thought might be helpful... :)
Yes... I have Opera... it is whatever version comes with T-Mo's TP2... I did have Iris, but uninstalled it when the updates became unavailable.
it is still working for me, so maybe it will work for others until it is officiallyfixed...
just my 2¢ worth... - I got a new Touch Pro 2 yesterday. Being unable to use Live Mesh with my previous phone (Touch Pro 1), I thought I'd give it a shot.
When I installed the cab file (which was placed on the storage card) I found that the installation created a folder under \Storage Card\Application Data\Live Mesh. A strange location, I thought, because all other settings are stored under \Applicaton Data (on the device, not on the storage card). But I'd thought that Live Mesh was right.
Starting Live Mesh resultet in a crash in the exe file.
Then I deleted the \Storage Card\Application Data\Live Mesh folder, restarted Live Mesh, and what do you know! It works! - Interesting. Thanks for reporting your experience.

Microsoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator - I have the same problem as sp1der975 -- problem with HTC Touch Pro 2.
(It's worked well for me on other phones in the past - HTC Touch and HTC Ozone.) - I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I have a Touch Pro 1 which I installed Live Mesh app on and have had working absolutely fine until yesterday. It would sync and login when required and did not crash at all on login.
Yesterday I was messing around with the device and installed the Manila 2 port from Touch Pro 2 onto the device to use the slicker interface. Having done that, however, Live Mesh will now crash immediately every time I attempt to launch it. It sounds like most people reporting this bug are using the Touch Pro 2 or similar, which could back up this theory?
Incidentally, Live Mesh will still crash if I disable the Touchflo 3D item in Today settings. Logically, the next step would be to do a hard reset and see if I can then get Mesh to work again on my device but to be honest, Mesh is not critical to me and I don't really want to go through hassle of configuring everything again. Perhaps someone with a similar configuration might be able to prove/disprove this theory?
Hope that helps - Your theory sounds plausible. At this point, we're hoping to see an updated mobile client released that resolves the issue. I don't know when that will be, though. We've not heard anything at all about an update in the pipeline.

Microsoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator - Works like a charm thanks alot.
- I finally bought a MicroSD card for my TP2 and now Live Mesh Mobile works fine! No problem now.
- Just to follow up on my above work-around (of adding a MicroSD card)...
today Mesh Mobile crashed again and would not start.
So, I removed the MicroSD card and re-inserted it again.
Now Mesh Mobile is working fine again. - I wonder why adding a storage card allows it to work....
-steve
Microsoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator - The storage card seemed to work for a while -- unfortuantely, it doesn't any longer. I'm back to getting the mobmoe error.
