Archive On My Phone Website Unavailable
- I have tried accessing the archive section of the website for a couple of weeks now and i keep receiving this message,
(The Microsoft® My Phone service is temporarily unavailable due to system maintenance.
Please try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience. )
I have tried deleting cookies from Internet Explorer as well trying in private browsing on both IE as well as Firefox, To no avail.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what could i do to be able to access it again.

- Hi there,
Are you having issues accessing Archive from the left hand menu, or a specific data type underneath Archive, e.g. 'Text messages' etc.? - I (and others) have the same problem. The error message comes right after the sign-in. There is no left hand menu or data type. It does not even get to the Archive page. (The phone says the synchronization was successful, and I can access my account information on live.com.) See the earlier "Archive not avialb" thread that was started by traherom on 10-13-09.
Don - I've got the same problem : "The Microsoft® My Phone service is temporarily unavailable due to system maintenance.
Please try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience." every time I try to access to the sms archive. (contact archive and others are OK)
The error message comes since I archived all my text messages (~6.000) ...
How can I fix it ? - I too have been experiencing problems w/ this for the last 3 days, and for the last 3 days i've been completely unable to sync any of my phones. There's also a lot of stuff that needs to be deleted thats stuck in my archive. Which is basically filling up my storage (i only have 29.45/200 MB free). And there's nothing in my phone that is taking up 170 MB, as it is right now i have 186 contacts, 190 calendar appointments, and 30 pictures. Please fix this because i have a feeling my phone is failing to sync because of the lack of space, and it hasn't had a sync since in over 5 days
- I am having problems accessing it from the left hand menu on the website as a whole.
When i sign in and hit archive i receive the unavailable message. - Hi Alec,
Did you find out what the problem was or is accessing archieve? I am having the same problem. I have two windows phones, trying syncing one this morning and its telling me that it has deleted 280 messages. I cant access archieve to restore them. Everything was fine with myphone until the latest updates. Can you help me please? Thanks. This is the error am getting when accessing archieve:

- Well I finally decided to come back to the my phone website and see if the problem was resolved and i can say as of this morning i am once again able to get into the archive section and clean out old text messages to be able to have more space.
Although in the time it was down i did find other alternatives to saving my phone's information just in case another problem occurs here on the website:
Jeyo Mobile companion 2.1 is a great application for viewing all your phone info as well as saving it to your pc.
Thank you to the MyPhone forum staff for looking into the problem and getting it worked on. - I still can't.
