Losing a phone is not really something to write home about.  But hopefully if you’ve been using the My Phone beta, you were able to save all of your data and restore it easily to your new phone.  Please share all of you tragic, bizarre or even funny Lost Phone Stories here.

My phone died on me, Sprint replaced it. . . i sync'd in the store with my account.  Quite sweet. . . HOWEVER, when i went home to sync with my computer. . . i wound up with dups and problems.  Wish it was able to websync THEN pcsync instead of the other way around.

ok i got one, I was at a amusement park in Utah and i went on a roller coaster, this roller coaster  flips you upside down and i had my phone "HTC Dash" in my pocket, i figured it would be fine in my pocket and wouldn't fall out... wrong i was, i didn't realize that it flew out of my pocket until i got off the ride, i found out it landed and 50 feet away and exploded into a few hundred different pieces, was able to salvage the sim card and SD card though.

I've never lost a phone, but I did kill the screen on my HTC Excalibur. Too bad My Phone wasn't available when this happened. Would have been nice to be able to retrieve my SMS files. Calendar and contacts were backed up in Outlook at least.
