Changing locale in MyPhone
- First of all, congratulations for the MyPhone product: I have been using it for only a few days, but it is an excellent service.
Second: I have a problem with locale settings (setting the language). It seems that the myphone website (myphone.microsoft.com) does not know the locale of my Live account but it uses the preferred one by the browser. Moreover, I found no way of changing locale once signed in. This is a problem when traveling and using public computers as I might not be fluent in the language of the country I am traveling in.
I tried forcing the browser to go to the EN-US locale on the log in page, but this setting is forgotten as soon as I log in.

To change the locale using browser language, can you try the following steps instead?
1) Signin to our website as you normally did
2) Change the browser language after signin
3) Signout from our website (At this point, our website should have detected the browser language and you should be presented with the correct locale on the splash page)
4) Signin as you did in step 1
Let me know if this still does not work for you,

Yes, this works, however what I am suggesting is that there is a simpler way to change language: when traveling and using a public computer it is sometimes difficult to perform all the steps you suggest.
This seems to be a problem also with other Live services. I alwasy set the my online services to English: However, when I was traveling to Germany last week and using a computer in a coffee shop, everything appeared in German (or Italian when I am in Italy or French when using my girlfriend computer). What made MyPhone more difficult to use than another service is that to change le language I wold have had to change the browser preferences instead on changing a preference on the web page (or better remembering the preference associated with my account).
