I just sync'ed my phone recently for the first time. I never thought to erase my text messages until recently when my phone started freezing at the home screen. When there are over 12,000 SMS messages, it's painstakingly tedious to go through all of them when it seems that the display only allows for 15 messages at a time. Is there any way to change that?

    Hi sirenprincess,

The select all option appears when your select all the current messages on the page. Please look at the image here - http://imgur.com/9WTTx.png

When you select all the messages on the current page by checking the box next to the From field, there should be a small blue notification bar that appears, which should let you select all the messages in your folders.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Koshal

    Hi,

If you use the select all option on the text messages page, you will get an option to select all text messages on all pages.

You can then delete or archive to the server all your text messages if you wish so.

    Thanks,
    Carlos

I'm having this same problem.  I've got about 9,000 texts messages I want to move to the archive.  But I can't find the option that you're talking about.  If I select text messages, I do not see an option to select all text messages on all pages.  How do I get to that option?

Thank you sooooo much!  It was easy once I saw your picture, it just wasn't obvious when I was trying to find a box or choice that said that.  Thank you!

I think selecting all 15 displayed helps, but I don't have much interest in going through 1000's of msgs 15 at a time. Needs to either display more than 15 at a time (like 100's) or have an auto archive.

    Hi TommyRush,

Thank you for using Microsoft My Phone.  Once you select all items on the page, you should be able to then select a link that appears to select all of those items across all the pages.  Look for this link just above the area where you were selecting the items.

Tommy--You can select ALL all messages, not just 15 at a time.  I didn't understand it at first either.  Look at Koshal's pictures and you'll understand.  You check the box to select the 15, and then an option pops up to select ALL messages and archive them all.

Wow I am dumb, I did look at that picture before posting... just didn't click. Auto archive would be nice however ;)
