AnswerSign On from phone reports incorrect ID

I received my invite overnight. Thanks!
I signed in at the web site linked from the email and proceeded to the install page, which offered me the option to send the link for installation to my phone. I did that. On the phone, I've installed the app.
When proceeding in the app on the phone, it asks for the liveID to begin. I enter the LiveID that I received the invite for and that I can access the web site with, but after submitting the LiveID, the app reports that my LiveID is not correct. Next step?

The My Phone Team has identified an issue that impacts users with Window Live IDs in the msn.com domain.  A fix has been identified and is being tested and we hope to make it available soon.  A sticky thread has been created to track this and it will be updated with the status of this issue.

    Thanks for your patience.

This issue has now been resolved. We have refreshed the My Phone application installer on the download location. The affected users will need to complete the following steps for resolving the issue:
    1. Uninstall the existing application on the phone:
      1. For Touch phones with stylus: Go to Startà SettingsàSystemàRemove Programsà Choose "Microsoft My Phone" and press Remove.
      2. For Non-Touch screen phones: Go to Startà Settingsà Remove Programsà Choose "Microsoft My Phone" and press Remove.
    2. Once the application is successfully removed go to the SMS which you received from the My Phone service to download the updated installer again.
      1. If you do not have the SMS you can log on to the Web Site at http://myphone.microsoft.com and request a SMS again.
      2. You can also choose to enter the URL manually in the Internet Explorer on your phone: http://myphone.microsoft.com/install
    3. After the application is successfully installed launch it by going to StartàProgramsà Microsoft My Phone
    4. Complete the sign in experience.

PS: There is no action required for unaffected users who are successfully able to synchronize their phone with the service.

    Hey Steve,

Can you send us the Windows Live ID account name that you were using for this?  We will investigate on our end.  You can send the info to myphoneteam@hotmail.com.

    Thanks,

Were you able to logon to the My Phone website on your computer with that same ID?

Users can't access the web portal until they have successfully initiated a sync with the client application from their mobile device for the first time.

I've sent the LiveID to Tristan, as requested.
The phone is the HTC/Cingular 8525 and is using AT&T Wireless.

I know I posted this issue of getting the not using the right password under the promo code window, so I will put it in the area that other people are having the same issue.

I got the welcome email but it gives me the" either the live id or password...." failure window when I try to set this up.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Poke....
Any update on this? Have you identified an issue with the device/network I'm using or can you provide any troubleshooting hints? Any logs you need from my phone?

Thanks, Tristan. I look forward to the update on this issue. I assume it is server side and not application related on the phone?
Does it affect all @msn LiveIDs or only specific ones based on subscriptions or such?

I did exactly as above, and cannot login from my phone, even putting the same login as on the computer screen.
