I have used the My Phone service for a few months, however, my scheduled syncs are not syncing and I have received an error message for the last month or so. Today when I signed on to the computer to look at the site from my computer the program instructed me to go to my phone and upload an update. It says "This update is mandatory. If you do not install the update now, you will be unable to use the My Phone service to sync your phone." I tell it to update. I now cannot access the service on my phone from programs>Microsoft My Phone. It opens the window with the "mandatory" update screen. This screen will not go away when I try to use the My Phone Service. I reinstalled the My Phone software from a link sent by text. It still does not work. I cannot sync my information to the website. I cannot even access My Phone from my phone. I never had this trouble before. I cannot delete My Phone from my phone to try to start over because I cannot get a menu function from the icon. I have an HTC Touch Pro with Windows 6.1. The services has work previously. However, it is not syncing now and does not seen to provide all functionality on my phone.

I suspect the problem you're seeing has to do with our recent upgrade of the MyPhone service from version 1.1 to version 1.5. This changeover happened in early October. On the device side of things, all existing users were required to upgrade the software on their phones to the 1.5 version in order to continue using the service.

Have you tried explicitly uninstalling any copy of MyPhone already installed on your phone (probably version 1.1) then installing the CAB sent by the link off the website (version 1.5)?

Alternatively, you can go to http://myphone.microsoft.com/install to download the .cab and you can then copy the .cab directly to your phone.  Once it's on your phone, you can install it.

Once the new version is installed on your device, let us know if you're still experiencing problems using the My Phone service.
