Why I got "BitLocker Recovery Key xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.txt" but not "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.bek" when encrypting the volume on win7 operation system?

When I did "turn on BitLocker..." on volume of win7 operation system, I selected "User a password to unlock the drive" and input password then go next, then selected "Save the recovery key to a file" to save, the name of saved file was like "BitLocker Recovery Key xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.txt", but not like "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.bek"? Are my encryption steps wrong? And how to generate .bek when encrypt the volume?

Instead of posting it there (which is a partner forum and therefore not much help for most of us), ask where you you should post a Bit Locker in Win 7 question to.
