  • Good Morning Phillo,

Thank you for visiting the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum. It appears that you are using a different product key that isn't the original one for the Windows XP disc you used. WGA currently provides checks for these types of product keys and prompts the user to notify them of this situation. More invalid product keys are being identified daily and WGA is constantly refreshing its database with these newly identified product keys and immediately blocks them. Currently the product key used for installing your Windows XP has now been blocked by Microsoft. Please use your favorite search engine and search on the last 15 alpha/numeric digits shown here in the MGA Diagnostic results RDT36-M9M28-VPVHM.

You have a couple options available. First you should have been given the option to "Get Genuine" when you failed Windows XP validation. Here you may purchase a Windows XP Kit from Microsoft and become genuine.  Also please see the following Knowledge Base (KB) article:

KB326246 - How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and product upgrades, and replace product manuals

Hopefully this will steer you in the right direction.

    Take care,

    Stephen
