Office Communicator mobile was working but Federation was not due to the certificate. We purchased a new certificate and now Federation works but oc mobile is not able to connect.
How can we test to see why oc mobile is not working?
Thanks
Keith

Keith,
Communicator mobile connects to the Access Edge server on the same external client-access port that Office Communictor uses. Assuming you have not changed this port (443 by default) and your OC clients can still connect I'd assume that the Certificate Authority you used to issue the new certificate is not trusted by your Windows Mobile devices. Windows Mobile has a short list of pre-installed Trusted Root Certificates then does Windows XP/Vista OSes.
If this is the case you can verify this by installing the proper root cert on a phone and test CoMo sign-in:

Installing the new certificate on the mobile device resolved the issue.
Thanks for you help
