Our Communicator environment works fine both internally and externally with the exception of our two Windows 7 machines, it seems after most restarts we have to re-apply the Cert.  Has anyone else experienced this or a direction to point me in?  Thanks for your help.

    Can yo be more specific.

How are yo applying the certs to your Win 7 machines ? Also please mention the cert provider, the physical store, and user access rights used, to install the certificates

Also have you tried KB931125, if the certificate is a public certificate

We provided the cert by creating a CA server, it's still up and running.

Physical store: Third-Party Root Cert Authorities> local computer

    User access is admin

    thanks for your help again.

Please correct me if I am wrong, Your Win7 Machine is domain joined, and is locked down by one or more GPO's (especially the C:\Windows and C:\Windows\System32 folders)

Have you tried to push the root certificate to the machine using a GPO ? (enterprise trusted root certificates)

They are joined to a domain and there are a few GPO's  being pushed down, and I had not thought about applying the Cert via GPO, but what is making me re-apply it to begin with?  On our XP machines the same Cert is applied once and that's it.

Justin, I am not sure if you aren't adding the certificates correctly, or the GPO remove your permissions, but have have a scenario like this tested multiple times and it works for me.

    Hi
Please try do this as below
IE -> tools -> internet options -> advanced tab -> security area and check the box for "check for server certificate revocation."
And then, you can test it again.

    Regards!
