Locked Connection to AD

    Does the OCS have to be installed on the same server as AD. When I try to prep AD from a machine on the same subnet as my AD server I keep getting the error ' Incorrect username and password' in the log.

    I'm nearly 100% sure it doesn't have to be on the same server, but how can I specify the setup guide to point to my AD?

      It doesn't need to be installed on your DC, but the standard edition or any Enterprise Edition other than the edge server rolls does need to be installed on a computer in your AD domain. Also ensure you are using an account that has the required permissions to do the AD prep (domain admin and schema admin).
