Upgrading to Windows 7 Question

  Hi, I have a double question here. I have a Desktop & I have a Laptop computer. The Laptop uses Vista Home Premium while the Desktop uses Vista Business. When I run the Windows Compatible Test, the Desktop tells me I am only compatible to upgrade to Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise. While the Laptop tells me I can only upgrade to Home Premium or Ultimate.
  
  What I'd like to know is, why can't I upgrade the Desktop from Vista Business to Windows 7 Home Premium?

  Ideally, what I want to do is buy ONE version with TWO Licenses so I can just upgrade both computers. But, the only version that they both agree with is the Ultimate and I really do not want the Ultimate Version.

  So, can I just buy Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade for both computers?
