  The CRM 2011 Implementation Guide provides instruction for the upgrade of CRM 4.0 to 2011.

  A description of exactly what didn't work for you and/or errors encountered will give people a better chance of assisting you.  "But no luck" doesn't give us much to go on.

  Thanks for your response

  I had followed the steps mentioned in the url

  I am unable to access the crm url

  i am getting the following error

  So, did the upgrade complete successfully?  Without error?  And now you cannot access the upgraded CRM?

  If so:

  1. Enable tracing (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907490)
  2. Access the CRM again
  3. Interrogate the trace log files for more information
