I’m trying to figure out what to do with the contacts in CRM that do not have mailing addresses.  My thought was to deactivate them and then when we do our search criteria for a mailing, we just chose active contacts so we don’t print letters for the ones with no address.  Does deactivating a CRM record stops the synching with Outlook?
    Thank you

Deactivating the contacts will stop the Sync with Outlook if you are using the default My Contacts filter on the Local Data Group filters in Outlook.  Out of the box, CRM only syncs the Active Contacts of the logged in user - i.e. My Contacts.

To change the "My Contacts" Local Data Group filter to include inactive Contacts go to CRM>>Modify Local Data Groups>>My Contacts.  (You can also create custom Local Data Group filters here).

You can also add filters in your search criteria for mailings to filter out Contacts with no address data in the fields.  This will allow you to keep your Contacts active yet filter them out for mailings.
