Proposed CRM Live - Custom Entity - can I create a new task type?

    There seem to be some actions I can perform in CRM Live, and others I can't, because I am limited to the Java Scripting language.

    I would like to create a new Activity type called "Site Visit", and have it available as an option when a user creates a new activity.

    Before I start digging into this, I wanted to find out if I can create this in CRM Live.

    Does anyone know?

    This is not possible Matt because that means you would create an entity type of activity and that option is not available.  I say that because the system would have to know that the new entity is an activity type to add it to all the drop down menus that can be used for creating activities.

    The only option really available to you that I can think of is to rename an existing entity that doesn't get used. Fax is often a good candidate for this.
