    We have just installed UR 7 on our servers and are seeing the following error on some IE8 client sessions

    ===
    Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.Please contact the application's support team for more information.

    ===

    Client side - IE8 & WinXP SP3
    Server - Windows 2008 x64 + SQL 2008 x64 + CRM4 with UR7

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I had a look at the KB and there is nothing in relation to my error. This is becoming as quite a problem for us as we are going Live with UR7 this week. Anyone out there with any suggestions?

    Note: we found this error to be machine specific..as the same user would work on one and not the other..its fairly random

    Since the issue appears to be machine specific, I would check the machine to ensure it has all the latest OS and Office updates.  Select the Custom rather than Express method when you go to the Microsoft Update site.  This will ensure you see all updates avaible rather than just required.

    A few additional suggestions:

    Clear the Internet Cache
    Remove all IE add-ins like Google, Yahoo and other toolbars
    Remove any other unneeded programs or integration with IE

    If all else fails, and you are using tabbed browsing, temporarily remove tabbed browsing and see if you still get the error.  I've seen some hangups and errors for some users that appear to have some relationship to tabbed browsing.
    Best Regards, Donna
