Wednesday, May 27, 2009 8:15 PMHi,
we run a PC/Thin Client environment using Citrix Metaframe and within that system, we for the most part, have no major issues with MS CRM 4.0, however we also have 9 MAC users, which generally run outside of the Citrix environment, and the email is synched between Entourage and Outlook.
We will soon be customising CRM and there will be a requirement for the MAC users to use CRM regardless. The way we can do it at the moment, is that the MAC users login to Citrix (via thier web browser (FireFox) and as a Window on thier MAC), then open outlook and use CRM from there, or they can use IE within Citrix and use CRM that way.
If there was a version of IE for the MAC or a CRM toolbar addin for Entourage, that would solve the problem as they can then use it that way, but there isn't, so are stuck with them having to login to Citrix.
Are there other organisations that are running in a similar environment and have a solution to make this more painless for the MAC users?
cheers and regards

Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply, and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. As the users already have access to Citrix/terminal server sessions from their MAC's, there is no point in getting another type of windows emulater, and if we were to go that way, my preference is for VMWare Fusion for the MAC.
What I was hoping to acheive was to get the web browser (Firefox) to open the CRM session, that way they would not even need the citrix sessions...
