For example, if contacts A and B are associated with an appointment. When I delete contact A, I expect the appointment record to still exist, hopefully still associated with contact B. But when contact A is deleted, the appointment record is no where to be found. The delete action seems to <em>cascade</em> from the contact down to the activities associated with the contact.<br/><br/>I didn't think this was the expected result, so I checked the contact:activities relationship behavior: it's set to <em>'Remove Link'</em>. Just to remind myself what this meant, I checked the CRM documentation (8-8 of courseware for 8912 Customization). Remove Link is designed to preserve referential integrity by setting the value of the Relationship attribute in the related record(s) to NULL.<br/><br/>To me, Remove Link doesn't seem to preserve referential integrity, it anihilates it.<br/><br/>Has anyone got any ideas why Remove Link seems to have the same result as Cascade All?<br/><br/>* P.S. To re-establish the connection between CRM and Word they have to close down Outlook og reopen.
