    hi

I am at present using microsoft exchange with business contact manager. The problem I am having is the complete lack of integration with the 2 solutions. Tasks I create in BCM do not appear in exchange tasks and therefore not on my mobile phone which is also connected to exchange. BCM does not have a calendar as such and I also have 2 completely separate address books. one is exchange and one in BCM. I could choose to only use the BCM address book but then i have no cross platform sync with bcm as i do with exchange.

So my question is, Does dynamics solve this? Is it one system that replaces exchange and effectively allows for a seamless experience where all tasks, contacts, calendar events etc appear in one seamless system which can then be viewed on internet enabled mobile phones as well as if it were exchange?

CRM does have more robust CRM functionality that Business Contact Manager.  CRM does not replace Exchange or Outlook but rather extends how you use Outlook to provide more robust CRM capabilities.  Like BCM, CRM provide an Outlook client that allows you to access CRM within Outlook but also synchronizes your contacts, tasks, appointments to and from CRM.  When you're in Outlook, all the information can look like it comes form a single system since you would see Exchange related data and CRM related data from the same areas you normally would go to (contacts, tasks, appointments).  CRM extends Outlook by adding an additional folder structure menu to allow you to gain access to more detailed information you are capturing within CRM.  Since CRM is sychronizing information to contacts, tasks, appointments, you would see the basic data from your mobile phone as the information sync'd to your mobile phone would be coming from the Exchange Active Sync.  If you wanted to access CRM directly from your mobile phone, CRM does provide mobile capabilities via the browser on the mobile phone.
