General DiscussionReceiving Update

About once a month, my computer slows to a crawl as I see the little yellow shielf (lower right system tray).  When I put my cursor over it, it says "Receiving Updates: xx%), where "xx" some some number between 1 and 100.  It takes more than 24 hours to make this little shield reach 100% and go away.  Then, the computer works fine again.  I'm a Realtor and canot go a day without my PC.  I'm told this is a One Care problem.  Anyone know how to make it go away (or finish quicker).

    Many thanks.

Receiving updates should not affect your ability to do other work on the computer. Does it? If yes, then in what way?
