Cannot download Portal for CRM 2011

  • Now when I click on the Try It button I'm prompted to agree to the EULA and I'm able to download the software.  Thanks to whoever fixed it.

  • No, no EULA was displayed.  It just redirects to the Partner Profile screen at https://pinpoint.microsoft.com/PartnerPortal/en-US/PartnerProfileList.aspx?PartnerId=4295487008&cId=1

    I asked my boss to try downloading it with his Live ID and it does the same thing.  Strange.  I've tried it both in Chrome and IE 8.  If I use the URL: https://dynamics.pinpoint.microsoft.com/en-US/Download/12884910828-200007 it too directs me to the Partner Profile screen.  I've tried downloading both the Customer Portal and Partner Portal and the Pinpoint site does the exact same thing.

    Any way you can send the direct link to download the customer portal?

  • I have similar problem. I am signed in and can only hit the "Try it" button, but when I hit it a page comes where I can edit my profile ... "There is no Company Overview for this country/region yet."

  • I wish I could help you more.  For me it just started working after a few days of trying to download it.  I now have multiple options on the right side of the profile screen--the screenshot you sent over--such as My Dashboard, Analytics and Edit Personal Details.

    Does anyone know what extra is required to download from the Dynamics Marketplace.  It seems that simply having a Live ID isn't enough.  Does someone need to approve the account?  It it a requirement to have a published and approved Company Overview?

    I think, but haven't received confirmation, that you need to create a Company Overview and that needs to be approved before you're able to download the software.

  • I still seem to have this issue with all my downloads that have a "Try It" button. I just keep being redirected to the pinpoint page that requires me to set up a company profile. Is there any workaround for this or could anyone simply send me the cufstomer portal files? It is really annoying...

  • I also have the same. So here I am at a CRM partner trying to get a free vertical solution to demo to a prospect and sell some Dynamics CRM licences and there seems to be no way to download it - just comes up asking for a profile. This bug seems to have been around for ages - it must be losing Microsoft money so please can someone fix it.

  • Has anyone found a solution to this issue?  I really need to download the Customer Portal app and every time I click on "Try It", I get redirected to the PinPoint site that requests a company overview.  

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
