Fix it Center hangs during install on Vista SP2

    Question

  • I'm using Vista SP2. My PC has been playing up recently and will not download the OS updates but the Anti-virus, MSE and protection updates are coming through OK. I tried to install Fix it Center to study this problem but during installation of this program, it stops at the point where it says it's installing the Powershell and just stays there until I select the cancel key to stop the process. Anyone else had this problem and know the solution?

    Fix it Center requires Powershell to perform the troubleshooting. Powershell is a windows component but it may be disabled or uninstalled. Fix it Center Setup enables/installs it for you during the setup. It may take several minutes for this process to complete. At that time the setup may seem to be hanging. Could you please try to reinstall Fix it Center? It should go pretty fast now.
