This might seem an obvious question but i have scanned the forums and other KB's but can't find what the registry setting is (or firewall port) that needs to enabled to allow the AV update to take place.
Outside my office environment and connected to the Internet I get updates fine but inside the office Firewall it fails. This is either because of a registry setting AND/OR a firewall port that needs opened.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this so that I can advise my guys on what to change to allow it?
OneCare will not communicate through a corporate firewall that requires authentication. There is no setting for this and it doesn't pay attention to the settings in IE, unfortunately. It expects a direct connection.
