    We are getting this error on 2 Windows 2008 boxes, both recently built.

    We are a MS Gold partner and are definitely within licencing rights. We installed from the proper ISO's on MSDN download.

    "the software licensing service reported that the application is running within the valid grace period"

    Hi Paul,
    To quote your original post: "We installed from the proper ISO's on MSDN download."

    Server 2008 is not a product for which Validation is required (see the question "Is validation supported for all versions of Windows" here). My goal was to direct you toward assistance with your problem. From the quote above I assumed that you were an MSDN subscriber and could find assistance through that channel.
