The reason your computer failed The Big Easy Offer eligibility is because you have Windows XP installed and no qualifying Microsoft software installed for this particular promotion. The Big Easy Offer is only valid with certain qualifying Microsoft software. Please review the following for a list of qualifying Microsoft software licenses:
The Big Easy Offer Terms & Conditions
http://www.microsoftincentives.com/bigeasy/Terms.aspx
Just out of curiosity, who directed you to the Big Easy Offer web site?

Sunday, July 27, 2008 8:08 PMThanks for your response. I actually did purchase Windows Vista, but with the feature to make it like XP as that is what we were used to. Our hardware/network contractor allowed us to participate in the offer. What do I do next? Thanks!

Sunday, July 27, 2008 8:41 PMModeratorThe Big Easy Offer is only available to "Qualified Organizations" and not individuals. Please reread the Terms and Conditions of the promotion. Apparently, your "hardware/network contractor" is not entirely familiar with the details of this promotion.
