    When I tried to install the new update of DirectX 9.0c from Microsoft site, I had the following error which terminates the installation:

    A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid.

    What to do?

    Please visit the Microsoft Support site and enter DirectX 9 in the search field. This will provide you with a list of KB articles regarding that application. If there is not one that directly resolves the issue you are experiencing, please create a support incident.
