product key has been exceeded
hi well i have genuine windows . which i payed for about 2 years ago from out of shop . were i had problems on & of so had to restall couple times ..& now iam being told that my product key as been exceeded.. as it will not let me activate it. which is unfair . i payed the money for the windows . & now you want me to pay more money for the same windows . what i payed for 2 years ago . which i dont see why should pay again . as there should be no limit to how many times . you install windows . thats unfair making people . pay again.

When the Product Activation wizard displays the "too many times" message, it gives you a phone number to call.

With the version of XP that you have, the systembuilder/OEM version, you are allowed to install it on the original computer as many times as you want. You are NOT allowed to install it on any computer other than the one it was first installed on. Changing the motherboard (except when replacing a defective with an equivalent) is considered changing the computer.
