I am using a genuine copy of Office 2003. As Microsoft Photo Editor was deleted from Microsoft Office 2003, I re-installed that component (and ONLY that component) using my genuine Office XP Professional cd. Now Genuine Microsoft Software tells me my software is not Genuine because Microsoft Office XP Professional has not been activated. However, when I try to re-activate Microsoft Office XP via menu Start, I am told this copy has already been activated.

Why does Microsoft make life so difficult for their genuine customers?
