I use OFFICE PRO which has been intalled and activated long time ago.
A recent update of Windows causes a fail with MS office genuine, and when I start Word or Outlook I get a message telling me that the application is not activated.
I used the tool MGA diag exe. Here is the log. Could you give me a help ?

Please see Method 2: If the Opa11.dat file or the Data.dat file is corrupted and follow the instructions to correct your issue.

I tried the method 2, but it was not successful. When I start Word or Outlook, a message says me that the software was not activated. Actually the soft works fully anyway, but will there be any problems coming later ?
If I try to activate WORD or OUTLOOK a message tells me the product has been activated before.

    Hello denfert,

The only time that I have seen where the solution that Carey posted does not work is when there is an altered Documents and Settings folder structure.

For example, this is the default location for the Office XP data.dat file:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data

On computers that may have a repair reinstallation done, there may be additional "All Users" folders, such as:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data

If your computer has such a folder structure, the data.dat file that needs to be deleted may be in the All Users.Windows or equivalent folder.

Did you run the MS FixIt or did you execute the manual steps?  If you just did the manual steps, please retry but this time run the Ms FixIt.

    Hello
Back again on the forum for the same problem. Deleting the data.dat in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.Windows \Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data allows me to activate Office and regenerates a new file, but after the next boot of Windows I come back to the same problem with messages telling me that Word or Outlook has not been activated.
Is there any other solution to use.

    Hello denfert,

May I suggest that before you go off to email support, try the whole thing once more, by the numbers:

    Run the FixIt.
Open an Office program, activate if neccessary.
    Restart.
If you receive a nongenuine notice, click on the Learn More Online link.  This process forces the OGA Notifier to re-check the license file.
    Close IE, close Office, restart.
Open an Office program, check for nongenuine notice.

If that does not work, let's get you to the tech support people.

Please open a free email Office Genuine Advantage tech support request at this link:  https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=11482&st=1

When you enter the description of the problem, feel free to provide a link to this thread.

Post back here when they get it fixed to let us know how it went and what they had you do :-)

    Hello
I've been looking for the MS Fix It but I didn't find a description of my problem on the French MS site. Where can I load the ad hoc Fix it.
    Thank you.
