It passes every test

I have a Compaq 6910p with Microsoft Office 2003 Professional, operating under Windows XP with SP3. I have passed a series of “genuine” tests in the past, but a couple of months ago I ran another one as part of some update, and suddenly all my office programs are sporting a bar stating “This copy of Office is not genuine.”
The Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool 1.9.0027.0 reports that my copy of office is genuine, but there is still a bar at the top of all my office programs claiming that it is not. A copy of the diagnostic is below.
In addition, I ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage – Diagnostic Site: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/default.aspx. The result was straight pass on 11 tests. I then hit the “Validate Office” button, and was transferred to the http://windows.microsoft.com/ page, without being given any obvious result.
I am not sure whether this copy of Office was installed as OEM by HP or was installed by our IT people after we got it, though I suspect the former as I have no installation media except a partition. We had to lay off most of our staff including all our IT support, so there is no one left who knows anything.
I want to get rid of the claim that I am running pirated software, which is false and which I consider to be defamatory.

Correct. You have a version of Office Professional that is using a blocked Volume License Key. This product is normally only sold to businesses in quantity and is never legally sold to a private individual. If you are part of a corporation that has a volume license for this version of Office you need to contact the IT department for resolution. Of course since they got rid of the IT support they probably also have lost the volume license for the product as either not renewed or misused. This is how the product key can be blocked (misuse on more than the permitted number of computers, reported stolen, license expires and a few other reasons. If you can find any documentation for the vendor that your company purchased the license through contact them for assistance. You also have file mismatch issues with the operating system (no this would not normally cause the issue with Office) that may cause issues in the future. You may want to run the system file check program to attempt to fix the file mismatches.Click on the Start button
type in RunCMD.EXE
At the Command prompt, type
SFC /SCANNOW
and hit the Enter keyhttp://www.microsoft.com/genuine and attempt to Validate Windows - again, make a note of error messages.
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot
Visit the Validation site
Reboot.
Run MGADiag again, and post the report, and error messages in your reply.

The Key in this case was never a valid one - it is one that was issued to MS itself, for internal use, but was leaked to the Internet years ago (2004?), and very quickly blocked.Whoever is now dealing with Volume Licensing in the OP's company needs to check with their vendor as to the status of ALL licenses held by the company.
