So frustrated with false genuine report
- I'm did the MS Genuine Update (as I do all of the MS updates) and my MS Office has been giving me non-genuine reports since. Now it's saying I have 5 days or it's going to flag me.
I'm running a genuine copy of Vista and Office 2007 on my machine.
I'm about to upgrade to Windows 7 (also a genuine copy).
Originally, I got an OGAplugin and it failed.
A friend of mine went me a WGAplugin and it passed, but I'm still getting the errors when I open Outlook and what not.
I'd like to get this fixed before I deal with my Windows 7 install.

Your computer now has two installations of Office, one nongenuine and one not activated, and one installation of Visio Professional, a volume licensing installation.
Here's what to do:
1. From the Programs applet in Control Panel, uninstall Vision Professional 2007. Restart.
2. Next, uninstall Office Enterprise 2007. Restart the computer twice.
3. Open up an Office Professional 2007 program such as Word 2007. At this point the Activation Wizard should begin. If som, activate Office online normally. If no Activation Wizard, click the Office button, then Word options, then Resources, then click the Activate [Word][Office] button.
4. After activation, restart.
5. Now visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button. Restart once more.
6. Next open an Office Professional 2007 program such as Word 2007. At this point you should not be receiving any nongenuine notices. If no notices, you are done.
7. If you continue to see nongenuine notices, please come back here and post a fresh mgadiag report. It may be that there is some cleanup that needs to be done from the remnants of the nongenuine Office Enterprise 2007 installation.

- So I'm staring at my MS Office 2007 Professional box (that I am the original owner of) and wondering how this is so.
What do I need to do, a reinstall? - I reinstalled both discs and entered the key code on the back of the slider in the sliding box.
Interestingly, when it pulled up the thing for the Accounting 08, it put in a key code different from the one I entered. Since it seemed specific to Accounting 08 (which I don't even use), I just clicked finish.

Your computer now has two installations of Office, one nongenuine and one not activated, and one installation of Visio Professional, a volume licensing installation.
Here's what to do:
1. From the Programs applet in Control Panel, uninstall Vision Professional 2007. Restart.
2. Next, uninstall Office Enterprise 2007. Restart the computer twice.
3. Open up an Office Professional 2007 program such as Word 2007. At this point the Activation Wizard should begin. If som, activate Office online normally. If no Activation Wizard, click the Office button, then Word options, then Resources, then click the Activate [Word][Office] button.
4. After activation, restart.
5. Now visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button. Restart once more.
6. Next open an Office Professional 2007 program such as Word 2007. At this point you should not be receiving any nongenuine notices. If no notices, you are done.
7. If you continue to see nongenuine notices, please come back here and post a fresh mgadiag report. It may be that there is some cleanup that needs to be done from the remnants of the nongenuine Office Enterprise 2007 installation.
