    Is your Retail copy a Full license, or an Upgrade?
    If it's an Upgrade, then it must have a base license to upgrade from.
     
    Check your packaging and the disk to see.

    How do you know it won't accept the key for validation?  If you have already installed then please follow the instructions in the sticky at the top of this forum titled "Please Read Before Posting" and post your MGADiag report in your reply.

    Is your copy upgrade or full license?

    Colin Barnhorst Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on DIY with 6GB ram.
